Based in Morristown, New Jersey, we are a small American soap house dedicated to crafting luxury cold-process bath soaps in thoughtful, limited batches. Each bar is made slowly, by hand, using time-honored methods that allow the character of the oils, butters, and fragrance compositions to fully develop.

Our fragrance compositions are inspired by heritage, ritual, and atmosphere — warm woods, aged resins, soft citrus, mineral air, and quiet spice. Each scent is carefully composed to feel balanced rather than overpowering, designed to linger softly and wear close to the skin.

All of our soaps are produced using the traditional cold-process method. This technique preserves the natural glycerin formed during saponification and allows us to superfat each bar for added moisture and skin comfort. The result is a bath soap that feels as good at the end of the day as it does at the beginning.

Gottfried’s is intentionally small-batch.

We believe craftsmanship cannot be rushed, and scale should never compromise character. Every pour, cut, and cure is closely monitored to ensure consistency, integrity, and longevity.
